Application for Enrollment

For more information about Unity Charter School, we encourage parents or guardians, and prospective students to attend our frequent Open Houses. The next will be held on April 19, 2012 at 7 pm.

Students are admitted for enrollment into Unity Charter School through an annual Lottery held in January. We accept students from any school district in New Jersey, however priority is given to residents of the Morris School District and to siblings of currently enrolled students.

The Lottery has four tiers for each grade, Kindergarten through grade eight.

Tier ONE for each grade includes students residing in the Morris School District with a sibling attending Unity.

Tier TWO for each grade includes students residing out of Morris School District with a sibling attending Unity.

Tier THREE for each grade includes students residing in the Morris School District without a sibling attending Unity.

Tier FOUR for each grade level includes students residing out of the Morris School District without a sibling attending Unity.

A Waiting List is created for each grade based on the four tiers and the random drawing and announcing of the names at the Lottery. Each student is then assigned a number on the Waiting List for each grade.

Once a student begins to attend Unity Charter School, they do not have to reapply to the Lottery each year.

Unity accepts all applications and does not discriminate based on sex, race, color, religion, handicaps or disabilities.

The Admissions Lottery for the 2012-2012 school year was held on January 10, 2012. If you applied to the school, a letter informing you of your wait list status will be sent by the end of January.

Any applications received after the Lottery will be placed on a waiting list in order of receipt.
