Multi-age learning groups are one of Unity’s unique advantages in its academic structure. With the exception of the Kindergarten learning group, all students at Unity are taught in learning groups of different ages.
This structure allows for more flexibility and differentiated instruction in addressing student’s academic, social and emotional needs. In efforts to maximize learning and overall achievement, students have the opportunity to work in cooperative groups. This allows students to progress according to their academic strengths and weaknesses, and not just their chronological age.
Principles of Sustainability:
Livelihood
The well-being of present and future generations in societies in which all individuals have a means to provide for themselves and contribute without the degradation of human lives through poverty, malnutrition, and debt.
